Jose Antonio Vargas is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist for The Washington Post covering HIV/ AIDS, tech and video game culture, and the 2008 presidential campaign. He has written for the Philadelphia Daily News, San Francisco Chronicle, Rolling Stone and New York. He taught “Storytelling 2.0” at Georgetown University and served on the advisory board for the Knight-Batten Award for Innovations in Journalism, housed at American University. He is the founder of Define American, a non-profit organization that seeks to elevate the conversation around immigration, and is himself an undocumented immigrant to the United States.
